The Covers
The hand-sewn covers used for Four Seasons Upholstery
are available in two finishes: textile or textile leather.
Both
fabrics are water-repellant and, using a patented process,
100% waterproof. (See details at: Upholstery / Special Features).
The materials are also UV and saltwater-resistant.
What also demonstrates the high material quality are the excellent
properties otherwise seen in extreme-use furniture for the indoors:
- easy cleaning
- extremely hardwearing
- abrasion-resistant
- pollutant-free
- friendly to skin and the environment
Textile Leather
This new textile leather is extremely hardwearing and well-suited
for the outdoors. With Light Fastness Grade 7*, textile leather
is almost at the top of the non-fading scale for all the colours
in the range. A multi-functional upholstery material with 15% cotton
content, it is also features very low flammability. The authentic
leather look comes in a smooth or grained finish, with almost
40 colours to choose from (Colour Selector).
It’s a multi-purpose leather that requires no washing or cleaning.
Simply wiping with a damp cloth is all that’s needed.
Textile Fabric
This extremely hardwearing material consists of three components
that are coated in a sophisticated process. Pleasant to the touch,
the surface is highly elastic. It’s a textile that is also used
for dry-suits in professional diving.
Colour fastness tests (see
the Colour Selector) produced the following results*:
Black 6 – 7,
red 4,
light ivory 5,
grey 5,
navy blue 5
The material is washable at 30° Celsius.
Perfect Fit
All upholstery for the Four Seasons Collection is made to
fit perfectly.
*tested against ISO Norms 105 B02 and BS 1006 B02, using a
Blue Scale from 1 – 8, with 1 = very low and 8 = excellent.
